WINTER WONDERLAND AUDITION NOTICE:
The Media Theatre is seeking actors who sing & dance extremely well for their upcoming 2024 production of WINTER WONDERLAND. Rehearsal times are typically Monday-Saturday from 12:00pm - 6:00pm, with Sundays off. Performances vary between five and six shows per week, generally Wednesdays through Sundays. Equity and Non-equity contracts available.

SEEKING: Seeking a Company of strong performers for a new musical celebrating the holiday season.
Caroline: The Curator of this year’s Christmas special; soft spoken, hates being in charge; daughter of the person who created and ran this special for years; doesn’t really like Christmas because of how much her mom loved it; she’s here in honor of her mother
Brian: The special all-around handyman; has been working on this special since he was a kid; first started working on the special to get closer to Caroline when they were younger; energetic; always balancing 5 balls at once; can-do attitude
Paul: Vivian’s husband, producer from the television station; always thought that this special was a waste of money, but now that the station is struggling, he really needs this special to work; a bit of a Scrooge; obsessed with the bottom line
Vivian: Paul’s wife and co-producer; always right (or at least she thinks,) hungry for a bit more romance in her life; has lost touch with the softer meanings of Christmas but wants to get it back
Ensemble: Strong Singers and Dancers. Will portray performers in the Holiday Special, featured solo moments, tv special crew etc.

The Technical Director is the supervisory staff member who oversees all departments related to professional, educational productions and third party rental events at the theatre. This position is responsible for scheduling, ordering supplies and coordinating various production needs. This position acts as the liaison between theatre management and crews, and is responsible for executing the technical processes involved in every event hosted at the theatre. Night and weekend availability required when actively in production. The Technical Director reports directly to the Artistic Director.
DUTIES
•Schedule and manage labor for all production and shop needs
•Facilitate communication between admin, artistic and production teams
•Collaborate and uphold production calendars and schedules
•Negotiate pricing and procurement of all technical elements and materials needed for each production or event, and remain within the provided budget
•Ensure that safety remains highest priority in the execution of all technical needs
•Oversees the timely completion of construction of scenic elements, load-in, lighting, projections, and sound installation, as well as strike
•Supervise events held on site.
QUALIFICATIONS
•Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
•Experience leading and managing groups of artistic and production collaborators.
•Knowledge of office software, especially Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, and Zoom.
•Proficiency in CAD software (VectorWorks, AutoCAD) and Adobe Creative Cloud applications preferred.
•Ability to interpret architectural and electrical plans, diagrams, local code requirements, equipment manuals, contracts, show riders and other available documents in preparing and executing production plans and designs.
•Ability to create and edit CAD drawings of event designs and setups to detail necessary resources and plans for the load-in and implementation of productions and special events.
•Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (experience driving small box trucks and vans a plus)
•Experience in related production disciplines, including carpentry, rigging, sewing, lighting, sound, and projections.
•Committed to upholding the artistic vision provided
•Self-motivated, honest, thoughtful, and composed.
•Ability to multitask and prioritize
TIMELINE & COMPENSATION

Overview:
We’re thrilled to announce an opening for a Voice Teacher at The Media Theatre! If you’re passionate about musical theatre and love working with kids, this is a fantastic opportunity for you. You’ll be working one-on-one with students aged 5 to 18, helping them develop their vocal skills, expand their musical repertoire, and prepare for auditions and productions.What You’ll Be Doing:
Teach Voice Lessons: Create custom lesson plans, use your own curriculum, and suggest great music for your students. Students will take care of getting their own sheet music for lessons.
Access Resources: You’ll have access to our collection of vocal scores and sheet music, with a print limit of 25 pages per week. Just remember to return all primary copies to the theatre’s records.
Schedule Lessons: You’ll manage your own lesson schedule and communicate directly with students and their guardians.
Use Facilities: You can use our pianos and teaching spaces for lessons. If there’s a scheduling conflict, our Broad Series and Youth Ensemble Series productions will take priority.
What We’re Looking For:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience teaching individual voice lessons.
Proficiency with office software (Google Docs, Drive, Sheets, Calendar, Zoom).
Strong musicianship and experience teaching students of various skill levels.
A friendly, diplomatic, and proactive attitude.
