CAMP MEDIA THEATRE 2021

The Media Theatre is excited to welcome back children and teens this upcoming summer with CAMP MEDIA THEATRE 2021! An exciting and extraordinary opportunity for young actors to study and practice singing, acting, and dancing with other like-minded individuals!

Multiple TWO -WEEK day camps available to children ages 5-14 years old, each separated by age groups. A usual day at Camp Media Theatre runs from 9:30am until 3:30pm with a lunch break. Doors open 8:30am for drop-off. Age groups rotate between instructors. After two weeks of rehearsing, each session will culminate in creating a final product . We will be doing an Encore! of camps featured previously. A new approach to familiar theatre! ALL REHEARSALS ARE CLOSED, AND THE LOBBY AREA AND CRYSTAL ROOM AREA WILL ALSO BE CLOSED DURING REHEARSALS TO THOSE NOT IN OR WORKING ON THE PRODUCTION. WE WILL ASK CAMPERS TO MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. THE PRODUCTION WILL BE DIRECTED AND CHOREOGRAPHED WITH SOCIAL DISTANCING IN MIND.

WE WILL HAVE SANITIZERS NEAR AND IN THE RESTROOMS. WE WILL HAVE SIX-FOOT MARKERS ON THE LOBBY FLOOR AND IN THEATRE AISLES. THE STAGE WILL HAVE SIX 8-FOOT CIRCUMFERENCE CIRCLES PAINTED ON STAGE FLOOR, TO BE USED AS ‘HOME AREAS’ FOR CAMPERS WHEN NOT BEING USED IN A SCENE OR SONG. AREAS CAMPERS USE, AND RESTROOMS, WILL BE DISINFECTED FOLLOWING OUR DAYTIME CAMP MEDIA THEATRE.

The Media Theatre will do everything possible, according to CDC and PA guidelines to ensure the theatre is a ‘safe’ space for all involved. Our stage will be prepped and disinfected, eight shields for business operation (including at the camp concession stand), and a supply of face masks. We will also have sanitizing stations set up around the theatre. Thanks, and have a great summer!
